In Faithful Remembrance
Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Brother Al Bergstrom laid down his working tools on July 4th, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Al began his Masonic journey at Temecula Catalina Island Lodge No. 524, where he was made a Mason on September 15, 2008, and raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on September 28, 2009. He continued his service as a member of Douglas Lodge No. 12 and Carson Valley Lodge No. 33.
Continuing his search for further light, he was Exalted on March 13, 2010, Greeted on September 22, 2010, and Knighted on October 19, 2010, in California.
His dedication, fellowship, and love for the Craft touched many. Though his earthly labors are complete, the light he shared will continue to shine.
Rest well, Brother Al, in the Celestial Lodge above.
So mote it be.

I hope your Fourth of July observance included a moment of reflection for all the Brothers, Companions, and Sir Knights who have done their part, through their service and sacrifice, to make it possible for us to celebrate this great country we call home.
I am pleased to share that the Grand York Rite now has an Investment Committee established. This committee has been tasked with preparing a proposed resolution outlining its composition, duties, powers, and responsibilities as we look toward the future and continued stewardship of our Grand Bodies.
I wish each of you a truly great July filled with fellowship, family, and refreshment.

I want to wish you all a very happy 4th of July. As we celebrate 250 years as a nation, may we never forget the sacrifices that were made for our country to exist, not only at its founding, but through the generations who have continued to preserve it.
As Masons, we understand sacrifice. We give our time and energy, sometimes giving up an evening at home with family, to support our Craft and keep it flourishing. Through those sacrifices, we give of ourselves so that we may better serve others.
The piggy banks for the Chump Change Challenge are on order! 🙂

Sir Knights,
Happy 250th Birthday to the United States of America! I hope each of you had a wonderful Independence Day celebrating with family and friends.
Things are beginning to move forward in the York Rite, and I look forward to all that we will accomplish together in the months ahead.
Please keep Sir Knight Jim Kelly in your thoughts, and also remember to take a moment for yourself. We spend a great deal of time serving others, but we must also take care of ourselves along the way.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the Southwest Conference this year, as I will be traveling in Europe. However, I look forward to attending the conference in Little Rock and continuing the work of our Grand Commandery.
