New Website Coming Soon
The Grand York Rite of Nevada is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Webmaster, Jameson Smith. With a strong background in information technology, business analysis, and infrastructure management, Jameson brings a modern vision and technical expertise to the organization’s digital presence.
Work is already underway on the development of a brand-new Grand York Rite of Nevada website designed to better serve members, lodges, and visitors across the state. Planned improvements include a dedicated members portal, expanded educational and historical content, improved communication tools, event information, and a more modern and user-friendly experience.
The new website aims to strengthen connectivity throughout the York Rite bodies in Nevada while preserving the traditions and values that define our fraternity. Additional features and updates will be announced as development progresses.
The Grand York Rite of Nevada looks forward to this exciting new chapter and the opportunities it will provide for enhanced fellowship, communication, and engagement throughout the jurisdiction.

I am honored to have been elected Most Excellent Grand High Priest. I will do my utmost not to betray your trust.
Times of difficulty also present times of opportunity. With the passing of leaders. there is the opportunity to go in new directions. It is my hope that Nevada York Rite takes this opportunity to improve how we communicate with ourselves. I also hope that it will make a thoughtful decision regarding the investment committee and its role. Who should be on it? How should the members be selected? How long should the members serve? How should the chairman be selected? What should be the range of investment? How often should they meet? To whom should they report? What should happen to the income generated?
The future of Nevada York Rite will be determined not just by its leadership, but also by all of its members.

Thank you, companions, for your vote. You have entrusted in me a great responsibility which I hope to discharge to the best of my abilities.
Yea, my companions, I do have a vision.
- I do wish to visit every Council in Nevada, as well as the degree festivals. I want to see your work. I want to be able to sit in Council with you and get to know you, to break bread with you.
- My CMMRF goal. Last year we raised over $1500.00. That is a tremendous result. My goal is to raise just $1.00 more then that. With the 300 plus members of the Cryptic Masons in Nevada, for less then $5.00 a day we can make that goal. Hence, the Chump Change Challenge. We all get that change from when we buy things, and where does it go? Into some jar, some dresser or night stand top, some cup in the house. All I ask is you donate the change for one month to CMMRF. Not asking a fortune, just what you can donate without hurting yourself or your family.
- Ritual and Education. I know in Henderson and Vegas they do participate in Ritual as well as providing educational programs, practices and so forth. I am sure the councils in the North are doing the same thing or similar. Education, like Charity, doesn’t have to be a lot. Just enough to start the ball rolling. To create the conversation. Through conversation we can draw people in and expand our own knowledge.
